Welcome to Circles® Derby

In January of 2013, a group of people concerned about poverty began meeting and educating others about the need to address the growing problem of poverty in the Derby area.

Over a period of three and a half years, the group met with community leaders, churches, organizations and schools to gather information and formulate a plan to bring the nationally recognized Circles program to the Derby area. Funds were raised and volunteers were recruited to pursue establishing a Circles program in to serve Derby and the surrounding communities. Community partners in this initiative include Derby Presbyterian Church, Woodlawn United Methodist Church and Derby Community Family Services. These partners, along with other organizations and individuals, have embraced the Circles model to help individuals and families in Derby and the surrounding communities to exit poverty. Circles Derby was officially launched in June, 2016.
